Rev.
Steve McGee, Executive Director
Rev. Steve McGee is a native Floridian where he lived
until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. After his honorable
discharge, Rev. McGee worked for AMC-Jeep International in Germany and
in various businesses in the US. After God saved Rev. McGee in 1985,
he answered God's call to prepare for professional Christian ministry
and enrolled in Columbia International University. He received his Bachelor
of Arts degree from CIU in 1992 and his Master of Divinity degree from
Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1996. Currently he is
pursuing his PhD in Religious Studies at Trinity College of the Bible
and Theological Seminary.
Rev. McGee accepted a call to
pastor a Presbyterian Church in America mission work in Okeechobee,
Florida in 1993 and was ordained by the PCA, South Florida Presbytery,
in 1996. From 1997 to 2009 he served in the US as a pastor in the United
Reformed Church and then as a missionary to Trinidad, West Indies. His
missionary duties included the oversight of theological education, church
development, holistic ministry, and radio broadcasting. In 2007 his
ministry expanded and he was appointed Director of English Speaking
Caribbean for the Miami International Seminary (MINTS). In May 2009
Rev. McGee moved to Miami, Florida at the request of Ministries In Action
and was elected by the board of directors to the position of MIA President,
effective September 1, 2009. He became Executive Director in 2010.
Rev. McGee has been married to
Adanna since 1983 and is the father of five.
Craig
Young, Director of Operations and Chief Financial Officer
Craig Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
at Widener University, Chester Pennsylvania in 1975. His professional
career began with Sun Bank of Miami 1976 as a management trainee. During
this foundational period he learned to work in each department of the
bank while graduating from the Florida School of Banking in Gainesville.
Shortly after his move to Miami, a few new friends shared the Gospel
with him and he surrendered his life to Christ. He has been walking
faithfully with the Lord since and is an ordained Elder in several dominations.
Craig has extensive experience
in the banking and financial industries. Additionally, he served on
the Board of Directors of MIA for over 13 years and most recently acted
as Board Treasurer. As an MIA Board member, he participated in fund
raising, grant proposals, program development, marketing, website development,
and strategic planning. In November 2010 Craig took a leave from the
Board in order to be appointed to the position of Director of Operations
& Chief Financial Officer. He works closely with the Executive Director
in implementing the vision and mission of MIA while overseeing all administrative
functions of the organization.
Craig lives in Miami Florida with
his wife Dianne and has five adult children.
