Billy and Sherry McKillop

Missionaries to Jamaica (IONA)

Billy McKillop was born and raised in Jamaica, where his parents served as church-planting missionaries.  He received his M. Div. from Columbia International University with an emphasis in missions.  He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for 21 years, retiring in 2002.

In God's providence, Billy and Sherry met as teenagers when he came to the United States to finish his last year of high school.  Sherry's parents were also missionaries, involved in church planting and administration in the US.  Sherry received her M. Ed. in Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Before entering full time ministry, Billy and Sherry taught for ten years in public high schools.  The Lord has blessed them with three wonderful children, Caleb, Zachary and Gabrielle.

Since 2000, Billy has served as an Assistant Pastor in Miami, FL, where the entire family has been able to live and minister in a cross-cultural setting (largely Caribbean).  God has used this time to spur them on to missionary service in Jamaica where there is a great need for pastor training and discipleship of church leaders.
