Ministries In Action Church Growth Strategy (MIAS)
MIAS consists of recruiting, training and mobilizing church leaders to effect the growth of the local church in three areas: Spiritual, Numerical, and Functional. This is accomplished by using the following phases:
1. Small Groups
2. Friendship Evangelism
3. Direct Witness
4. Public Witness
5. Discipleship
6. EvaluationThese phases are introduced in the local church following the training of selected leaders over a period of 12 to 15 months. The goal is to use the trained leaders to mobilize the whole congregation in the use of one or more of these methods in reaching others for Christ. The details of the public witness would vary in different countries and take the form of large evangelistic rallies, youth events, business and professional persons luncheons or banquets, etc. More than 700 churches are presently being served by this strategy in English, French, and Creole.
