Neal Hegeman

Missionary to Miami International Seminary (MINTS)


Cornelius (Neal) Hegeman and his wife Sandra and three children lived in the Dominican Republic for 12 years, where Neal was a church planted and leadership trainer and Sandra a Christian School curriculum writer. After returning to Canada for 5 years, the Hegemans moved to Miami in 1998. Neal joined MIA in 2000 and has been the Hispanic program director for the Miami International Seminary (MINTS) since that time. He travels throughout the Spanish speaking world, supervising the set up of new study centers, developing theological materials and drinking lots of cafe con leches. Sandra teaches sixth grade English at Westminster Christian School. The Hegeman children are adults and are studying and working in South Carolina and Alabama. Neal has a Bachelor degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada) as well as Reform Bible College (Grand Rapids). He has a Master of Divinity from Calvin Seminary in Grand Rapids, as well as Doctor of Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary. His Ph.D in Christian Thought comes from the American University of Biblical Studies.
