Our Needs
MISSIONARIES
In the immediate, a full-time nurse is needed for Flamands, Haiti. We also have a need for a certified Christian counselor for our IONA center in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
SHORT-TERM WORK TEAMS
Work teams are needed for our projects in Jamaica, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and the Dominican Republic.
DISASTER RELIEF AND RECOVERY
We stockpile supplies for immediate use in the event of a disaster. We welcome clothing, shoes, non-perishable foods, batteries, unexpired medicine and medicinal supplies, small household appliances, toys, furniture, bedding, towels, and any other usable items. (Note: We only accept clothing that is in good condition and not well worn.)
When a disaster occurs and Ministries In Action is involved in relief, volunteers are always needed and welcomed.
IONA
Books in English, French, and Spanish are needed for IONA Centers for Theological Training.
Bibles in English, French, and Spanish are also needed for ministry by work teams in the needy communities of the Caribbean and Latin America.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND MEDICINE
Medical equipment, medical supplies, and medicines are needed for the hospital being built at Hato Nuevo, Dominican Republic. We hope to have the hospital operational in 2010.
TRAVELING NEEDS
Donated frequent flyer miles are always appreciated to lower the high cost of air travel.
