Planned Giving Program
A small amount of planning now can mean big results for God’s Kingdom for years
to come.
For over thirty years Ministries In Action has faithfully invested funds from individuals, churches and foundations into helping “The Church” to grow holistically. We believe our
supporters have participated with this ministry because it has and continues to produce
eternal rewards.
Ministries In Action has partnered with the
Christian Community Foundation of
South Florida to offer a quality planned giving program that provides the means to contribute
larger well thought out gifts to the ministry and gives donors
access to expert and biblical counsel. Among other things, the Christian
Community Foundation of South Florida offers MIA supporters the ability to
create a donor advised fund and to contribute complex or non cash gifts such as
real estate.

Some Reasons to Consider Planned Giving
Expanded giving options
- Flexibility to give non-liquid “complex” assets in addition to, or as an
alternative to cash
- Donors may be “cash poor”, but “asset rich”
- Ability to give full or partial interests in a variety of assets
Anonymity
- By opening their own “family foundation” (Giving Fund), donors can give
anonymously and avoid public record searches
- Many donors desire to give, or give more, if they can give anonymously
Increased giving flexibility
- Distribute a single large asset to multiple charities
- By contributing to their Giving Fund, they can apportion an otherwise
indivisible asset.
- In many cases, this benefit is what enables a gift that might otherwise have
never occurred
- Distribute a single large asset to a single ministry over multiple years
because:
- The value of the asset exceeds the ministry’s single year financial capacity
- To provide multi-year support
- To match funding from other sources
- They may be willing to contribute the entire value of the asset to the
ministry only if they can do so over several years
Tax Advantages
- Receive an immediate tax deduction and distribute funds over time, even years
- With proper planning, enjoy additional income tax benefits today for giving
that will be done at the end of life
Storehouse Giving for one-time events
- Sale of business, land, real estate, etc.
- Inheritance
- Irregular income, bonuses, commissions and other spikes in income
Time
- Gives donor time for more prayerful giving decisions
- Separate giving decision from recipient decision
Form a supporting organization
- Provide support to a ministry
- Store funds to offset compensation for a second career in ministry
Desire to form a family or company foundation
- Without the legal, tax and administrative burdens of a private foundation
Ease of administration
- All “foundation” management can be done on-line
- CCFSF does all reporting, receipting, research and verification to satisfy the
IRS
Testamentary giving flexibility
- Donor can change testamentary charitable giving instructions without
alterations to existing will and trust documents
Access to gift and estate planning counsel
- Philanthropic counseling – from a non-vested, third party interest
Balance giving with income needs and estate planning goals
- Charitable gift annuities
- Charitable trusts
- Allows donors to meet current income needs while allowing them to support at
death those charities that were meaningful to them during life
Gifts to Helping Hands
- Allows donors to support needy individuals on a tax deductible basis
Assure (endow) Christian funding
- Establish an endowment to support their favorite causes in perpetuity
Legacy
- Ensure that giving continues after their death
- “Train” future generations in giving
- Peace of mind - grants only go to organizations that are not antithetical to the Christian cause
