Robert and Patricia SKinner

Missionaries to Jamaica (IONA)

Dr. Robert and Patricia Skinner have been called by God to minister in Jamaica in the area of Theological education.  Dr. Skinner has been very active in local churches and ministries throughout his life.  He has served as pulpit supply and an interim pastor for Southern Baptist churches in South Carolina.   He has also taught classes in seminary extension and at Covenant Theological Seminary.  Recently Robert and Patricia were assigned to Zambia by the International Mission Board.  God used a circumstance concerning an extended family matter to bring them home to South Carolina after one year on the field.

Robert and Patricia never lost their desire for missions and God began to give them a desire to relocate to the Caribbean.  In 2007 an opportunity opened up for Robert and Patricia to teach and counsel at the Jamaica Bible College in Mandeville, Jamaica.  Their call was further confirmed when they were approved as missionary candidates for Ministries In Action.  Please pray for them as they raise their support to move to Jamaica and begin ministry their.
