Executive Director
Sam Crowther
Sam Crowther was recruited as MIA’s Director of Development in early 2007. Toward the end of the same year, Ministries In Action's Executive Director informed MIA that the Lord was calling he and his wife to serve as missionaries in Zimbabwe. The Board of Directors called upon Sam to serve as Acting Executive Director. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operation of the MIA office in Miami, Sam continues to fulfill his development duties.
Sam was born in Ingwavuma, South Africa, to missionary parents, but grew up and resides in Miami, FL. Before coming to MIA, he served the Lord in local church ministries, Christian music ministry and as a Bible teacher at Dade Christian School. He also has several years of small business management experience and sales and marketing experience in the technology field. Sam is excited about what God is currently accomplishing through Ministries In Action and eagerly anticipating what He will allow MIA to be part of in the future.

Director of Project Ebenezer
Hyacinth UrquhartHyacinth Urquhart was educated at the Jamaica Bible College in Mandeville, Jamaica. She has served the organization in various capacities over the years, and is now the Director of Project Ebenezer, Ministries In Action's social development arm. Hyacinth's incredible gift of administration helps her organize and direct an average of 20 short term mission teams a year from the U.S., Canada and Caribbean. She supervises the teams which help local churches build clinics, schools, churches and participate in other development work and evangelism. Her pleasant Jamaican accent makes her a wonderful person to contact for anything related to short-term missions.
